kept meaning to type off a little something or other...but...time passes...sleep takes precedence...and all that.

anyways...

a curious set of weeks.

the classroom seems occasionally to improve.  or i am getting used to it.  the kids are geting used to it.  a rhythm establishes itself.  falls apart for a day or two.  comes back.  they all go crazy at once.  or not.  so i can do it.  and they are cute as a button. but....must escape this field before too long.  i'm not much cut out for it.  i take things too personally.  egads. and so....

i have been an avid kitchen cooker of things.  yum: hummus, chana dal soup, punjabi style string beans, garlicky pea shoots, weird species of fried rice, etc.  what a fun time.  yahoo. and brewing big jars of kombucha.  fermented tea with much bacteria.  one might call me a hippie if looked anything like a hippie. but i don't.  hey.

there is also yoga twice a week.  which i think helps keep my head from exploding.  among other things.  ooh look at my slightly larger tricep.  wowee. one might call me all california if i weren't so damn stiff (can't touch the toes i tell you) and sarcastic and oh too aloof.

oh no: a run in with my psytrance scene friend of very good conversation and fun.  who unexpectedly put the moves on me as i was about to leave after spending the evening trading music and chattering and such.  nice moves (yikes. yeah.).  but knowing he is in an open relationship with a most adored girlfriend.  though being the first alternative girl he has hooked up with (the parlance of our times, how irritatingly but appropriately vague, yes?) in a long time.  such curiosities.  though also...so cliche and somehow typical of my fate...fate of the non go-getter...doomed to meaningless miscellany with good ones...otherwise faithfully pursued by boring normals...or pleasantly in touch with nice slightly mysterious far away livers.  ah well.  nice moves.  ha.

ironically, such moves were put upon me a couple weeks ago friday night in the wee hours.  so passed the hours into the morning of the saturday that i am slated to drive up to meet the oregon boy.  ha ha.  (though with a visit to these carbonated (!) hot springs first, yahoo!) a fortuitous finding each other in mendocino late sunday afternoon (he was delayed by various things) when he just appeared where iw as eating with the intention to use a payphone.  but man oh man.  these boy situations ought to have the courtesy to spread themselves out.  not be all concentrated in single weekends.  never oh never to repeat again for ages.  but anyways.  the meeting was charming and fun.  but exceedingly tired we both were.  and i remained mildly baffled by the most unexpected events of that friday night.  and it was all too short.  crumple crumple.  funny.

to continue the funny saga of boys...the two hour talker, sleepily i spoke to at a party last weekend.  this somewhat shy little irish feller.  he managed to kiss me at this psytrance party.  which was funny.  because that never happens really.  i mean...i think i was supposed to get drunk a lot in college and make out with random boys at parties drunkenly.  but hey.  i'm a prim and proper lady so this never happened.  and drunk people irritate the hell out of me.  especially when they are female and loud and stupid.  not to sound like a condescending bitch.  well.  maybe a little.  there are a great many people i am not so interested in knowing and speaking to.  anyways...so that was funny...all out of context.  ah wonder if the chap'll give me a ring.

so apparently i am producing some strange pheromones.  have a sparkling magnetic quality.  am astrologically something or other.  or am being too nice and making too much eye contact.  or eating healthily has made my hair look healthy and robust--you know, like a dog's shining coat.

i imagine there are other things i might write.  but.  i should go to bed.  my normalcy is killing me.  i am sleeping like a lady early to bed and rise.  damned be the morning darkness.  it kills me too.
